Chiropractor swims Lake Erie to benefit charity

ERIE, Pa. (AP) ? An Erie chiropractor has completed a 24-mile swim across Lake Erie and is donating money he raised in the effort to the Erie City Mission, an emergency homeless shelter. The Erie Times-News (http://bit.ly/M4Y2EX ) reports Monday that nearly 200 supporters lined Freeport Beach in Erie to welcome Eric Mizuba shortly after 11 p.m. Sunday. The doctor began his swim about 8:30 a.m. at Long Point, Ontario. Mizuba says swimming the lake was a lifelong dream and that he was glad to support the homeless shelter in the process. ___ Information from: Erie Times-News, http://www.goerie.com
