Demi Lovato is jumping to the rescue of Lindsay Lohan on Twitter. The X Factor judge knows what it's like to be bullied and go through a hard time in the public eye and she wants people to back off the troubled star while she's dealing with yet another arrest.

Demi writes, "I really wish we could go back in time when artists were known for their work. Not their personal lives."
Celeb blogger Perez Hilton responded, "@ddlovato Do you really think @LindsayLohan wants the media to not write about her? She needs attention and creates drama to get it. #Truth"
Demi replied: "@PerezHilton The media (not just you) don't realize when you need to stop. This isn't a headline for your readers. This is someone's life."
He then wrote, "@ddlovato The media (me) is not harming Lindsay. She is doing that to herself. She needs to take #accountability before she will get better."
The 20-year-old didn't back down and replied, "@PerezHilton hey how about you just leave her alone? Instead of kicking someone while they're down?"
This is all referring to the Liz & Dic star's recent altercation in NYC when Lindsay allegedly punched a woman in the face.
